Valentine's Day Walk

We changed our mind on the picnic.  Philadelphia seems to be having storm after storm lately.  The night before Valentine's day we got another 16 inches of snow on top of what we already had.  The Pennsylvania turnpike was closed.  News was telling people to stay off the roads if possible.  Most restaurants weren't delivering and some were closed.  On top of that trucks haven't been able to restock the grocery stores so the past couple of weeks it's been hard to get eggs and bread.  So instead of a picnic, we took a walk near our apartment.

You can kind of get an idea how high the snow is by the fire hydrant.

We had planned on having our picnic a little ways down that road.

Lox took one look down the road and decided to head the other direction.

The river is already a little high, it's gong to be interesting when this snow melts next week and it starts raining.

Even the ducks and geese didn't want to be in the water...

In the end we still had our picnic, just in a more comfortable location.

It is good to have a end to journey towards; but it is the journey that matters, in the end.
