CADES Charity Event

Last night Will and I went to the annual Beef & Beverages fundraiser for CADES in Swarthmore, PA.  For those of you that don't know about this charity, you can find out more information at www.cades.org.  Basically it's a charity that supports individuals with Cerebral Palsy.  After looking around the school, I'm really impressed with the community's support.  I didn't hear how much was raised last night but the turnout was fabulous.

Sorry about the pictures, it was really dark with tons of flashing lights.  I think the camera on my phone just wanted to give up.  Not sure if you can see above, one of our favorite bands was performing, Mr. Nick Band.

Loved the casual atmosphere of the event!  They had the best slow roasted beef hoagies that I've ever had.  Served with chips, salads and a huge dessert bar.  Of course just like the name of the event, there was tons of beers, sodas and bottled water as well.

We didn't win any door prizes or raffles, but that wasn't really the point.  Though it was wonderful to see the generosity of the local businesses in the community.  There was a 50" TV, tons of restaurant gift certificates, hotel packages, spa gift certificates and several tickets to either Philly games or Flyer games, as well and signed memorabilia.

The decorations were cute and tasteful.  I loved the peeps bouquet on our table.  Though it had been mauled by a nearby table by the end of the night, lol.

All around there was great music, great food, great people and it all went to a very great cause!
