Dolmarehn, Jenna Elizabeth Johnson
Immediately after reading the first book I had to buy the second book and find out what was next in store for Meghan and Cade. This book is so much better than the first, it isn't slow at all it just dives in and continues the previous story. I couldn't stop reading it till I was done with the book. This book expands on the use of Celtic mythology and introduces you to a few new people. Mainly Meghan will learn who her parents are, why they abandoned her and how much danger she really is in.
The book starts out the Summer before her senior year of high school. She's physically healed from the attacks from the Morrigan, but is mentally and emotionally scarred and has turned her into a recluse. She now knows her geis is broken and she's completely unprotected. She's just not sure what creatures are waiting for her.
Cade returns to her and gifts her with something to help ease her fears. In this book Meghan will finally travel over to Elie with Cade and discover who she really is. Who Cade really is. Can she still love him once she knows his real identity? How will she hide all of this from her friends and family? While trying to finish high school.
I really started falling in love with the characters in this book. You learn so much more about each one, even more about her mortal family. That it really tugs at your heart strings when any one of them is in danger. In the end you really feel for her when she has to choose what she will do in her future, stay in the mortal world or move to the Otherworld?
