Cherry Blossom Festival & Grapefruit Punch

We missed the first week of The Cherry Blossom Festival while we were in Baltimore.  I'm kind of glad we did, according to our guild on the tour we went on, only the Yoshino cherries were blooming last weekend.  This weekend they were all in bloom.

Cherry Lane is where most of the cherry trees are, in the area near the Garden Rail.

After the tour we went to a how to wear a Kimono Demonstration.

Next there was a Demonstration on Kyudo.

The last demonstration we went to was the tea ceremony.

We got a couple more pictures of the cherry trees before leaving.

Doing my prep for tomorrow's dinner and picnic.  Here's the Grapefruit Punch I plan to make for the picnic.

Normally I would make this with Champagne instead of lemon/lime soda, but this is my kid friendly version.

Sparkling Grapefruit Punch

3 cups Lemon/Lime Soda
2 cups Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice
7 tbsp Pomegranate Syrup

Mix all of the ingredients in a pitcher, stir and refrigerate till your ready to serve.

What a strange thing!  To be alive beneath cherry blossoms.
