Lox's Birthday and Dog Waffles

Lox at 8 weeks old with her grey rabbit.

This last Friday was Lox's 3rd birthday.  Some people might say that she is spoiled...I would rather say that she is well loved.  So to do something special for her we gave her chicken and carrot barley waffles and frozen unsweetened blueberry yogurt.  Which both of them are her favorite treats.

Dog Waffles

1 Carrot, Grated

3 1/2 tbsp Butter

1 Egg

2 tbsp Brewer's Yeast

1 tbsp Baking Powder

2 tbsp Old Fashioned Oatmeal

2 cups Barley Flour

2 cups Chicken Broth

I always grate my carrot in my food processor saves dirting other dishes.  Add the rest of the ingredients to the food processor and mix.  Spread out on a waffle iron and cook until done about 3-5 minutes.

Tower Of Waffles!

She absolutely loved it!

Ok maybe she likes the waffle more than the frozen yogurt.

Unsweetened Blueberry Frozen Yogurt

1 cup Plain Yogurt

4 tbsp Blueberries, pureed

I mix the two together and freeze them in ice cube trays.
