Cream of Chicken soup

I was anorexic through part of my teenage years.  At my worst, I weighed 89 pounds.  It wasn't that I thought I was fat.  I knew I was underweight.  Every time I thought about eating, I would just get really anxious, and I would start to feel nauseous.   Then I just wouldn't eat.  I found I could usually eat Lipton Cup of Cream of Chicken Soup.  I know it's so bad.  My mom's cooking was worse, though, lol.  Sometimes I crave that same flavor, or I just feel too hot to eat; this is what I came up with as a substitute for Lipton Cup of Cream of Chicken Soup.  In my classes, we learned that if you have digested your previous meals and still aren't hungry.  At least eat something light.  In this soup, you can add collagen powder.  Pair it with other light foods, like bread or fruit.

Cream of Chicken Soup

8 tbsp butter
4 cups of water + 6 tsp chicken bouillon
2 cups whole milk
2/3 tsp celery seed
2/3 tsp onion powder
2/3 tsp pink salt and black pepper, ground

In a Dutch Oven, add the butter and flour, and cook the flour for about two minutes over medium heat.  Whisk in the water, bouillon, milk, celery seed, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.  Bring the soup to a boil.  Turn the temperature down to low and simmer for 10 minutes.  Pour into a mug or bowl and enjoy!

Soup puts the heart at ease, calms down the violence of hunger, eliminates the tensions of the day, and awakens and refines the appetite.
