Cheeseburger Macaroni

This isn't something I usually make.  Honestly this is something I usually only make for camping trips.  Since I will be going back to work soon, Jaiden has agreed to make a few meals a week.  This is a meal kit that I have come up with for him to resemble Betty Crocker's Hamburger Helper.  I'm not claiming that this is the exact recipe, just close.  The major difference is that this recipe doesn't have MSG, soy or any preservatives in the recipe.

Cheeseburger Macaroni

First off to make the sauce packet or two that can leave in your cabinets until you need it.

Sauce Packet

1 qt size Freezer Bag.
2/3 cup Powdered Milk
1 tbsp Cornstarch
2 tsp Paprika
2 tsp Pink Salt
1 tsp Mustard Powder
1 tsp Onion Powder
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1 tsp Ground Pepper

Place all of these ingredients inside of the freezer bag or store in a cool dry place.  When you're ready to make the Cheeseburger Macaroni gather the rest of the ingredients.

Other Ingredients

1 tbsp Olive Oil
1 lb Hamburger
3 cups Hot Water
1 1/2 cups Macaroni
1 tbsp Fresh Parsley, chopped
1 cup Sharp Cheddar, grated

Add the olive oil and hamburger to a large skillet and cook till brown.  Drain.  Add the hot water and the sauce packet and mix till smooth.  Bring to a boil, add the pasta, turn the heat down to medium and simmer for 12 minutes.  Add the parsley and cheese and stir until melted.  Let it stand for 5 minutes and serve.
