What's The Hook Up

I found a new social networking site.  https://www.whatsthehookup.com/  When I mean new, I mean that it just started beta a few days ago.  The motto behind the site is "The block party will live again!"  Meaning get to know those around you and go out and enjoy the area you are living in again.  Instead of spending all of your time socializing online.  

As for what the site looks like?  I think the concept is really cool.  It reminds me of Myspace with it's areas for musicians combined with Meet-up.org but with reviews of bars & grills, dance clubs, movie theaters, concert venues, stores, upcoming concerts, local events and more.  

The wonderful thing about it is once it gets off the ground, planning a vacation in another area, you will have all of the information about the area on one page.  Or if you are new to an area, you can check out all of it's entertainment from the locals point of view.  If you don't know anyone, you can see a list of people in your area attending the event so, you can chat with them ahead of time and meet new people at the event.

I will keep everyone posted how the site progresses.  But if it sounds like something you're interested in check it out.
